It was just after six in the morning when I got the message that this beautiful momma was in labor and ready for baby number two to arrive! Luckily, I was already awake enjoying my morning coffee when I received the message. I ran up the stairs two at a time, changed, grabbed my camera gear (which thankfully was ready to go) and made my way to the hospital. The 40 minute commmute was especially long as the anticipated arrival of the baby could happen at any time.
I buzzed my way through the halls to check in and when I arrived to what I expected to be a distressed mom ready to give birth, was the most calm and collected mother-to-be. Within the next hour, little Gizelle decided to make her appearance into this world. It was an exciting and memorable series of moments to photograph.
